"The meaning we give to our life experiences
is far more powerful than the experience itself."
-David Strauss-

On September 7th, 2008...

David received a surprise "gift" from the universe. He was nearly killed at the Chaco Canyon Cultural Preserve when a rock formation collapsed, and a falling rock landed on his head. After a 3 hour self-rescue and several months of recovery, David entered a new stage in his life which has resulted in his formation of Giggle Yoga, LLC.

David's story of injury and self-rescue is an inspiring episode in life, as David shares how important and powerful our choices are in the moment.

About David Strauss

David is a rare individual with a unique passion for people and life. He is known for his contagious smile, and his endless enthusiasm for making a lasting difference in other people's lives.  His greatest teachers have been his best mentors, and his biggest "mistakes".

A strong believer in the power and value of mentoring, David has been a student of the best of the best.  A graduate of the Anthony Robbins Mastery University, and a student of the teachings of Napoleon Hill, Dale Carnegie and Earl Nightingale.

Through his involvement with the Center For Leadership and Character Development at the United States Air Force Academy, and a former 2nd Lieutenant in the US Air Force Auxiliary, David has had the opportunity to be inspired by a wide variety of mentors and leaders.

David has been a Key-Note Graduation Speaker at the Emily Griffith Center, and is also the Founder, President and CEO of the National Character and Leadership Academy, a Colorado Non-Profit Corporation.

David is an ISSA Certified Fitness Trainer, Certified Spinning Instructor, International Athlete and Lifetime Fitness Enthusiast. He loves helping people improve their overall health by introducing them to the importance of eating whole foods, and proper exercise and movement.

David has been a fund-raising athlete for a variety of organizations, including Meals-On-Wheels, CU Cancer Research Foundation, Boulder Youth Shelter, Multiple Sclerosis Society, NumerousHomeless Shelters and the American Hearth Association.

In January of 1995, as a benefit for the CU Cancer Research Foundation, David reached the 23,000 foot summit of Aconcagua, Argentina, the tallest mountain in the western and southern hemispheres.

David is an international traveler, and a true Globe-Trotter with a genuine love for humanity. From the cities to the most remote parts of the earth, no matter where you find him on this planet, David will always be reaching out and making friends with the local and indiginous people of any community or tribe.

A graduate of Telluride High School (1983), David was exposed to the benefits of the Extreme lifestyle in the early years of his life.

David earned his BA in Communication at the University of Colorado at Boulder, where he also earned his Colorado Real Estate Broker’ License.

From his High School days until today, through international travel, and a strong commitment to Personal Development and Community Service, David has developed a deep insight into human nature, and a genuine appreciation for the magical gift of LIFE.

David believes in the power of diversity, and is committed to helping people self-realize their own potential.

Most importantly, David has a strong belief that our challenges in life, even what we may call "mistakes" (BIG or small) are actually our greatest lessons in disguise.

Everything in life has the meaning we give it. At the other side of each experience is an opportunity to learn, grow, become stronger and evolve.

"The only true regret is to NOT learn from our Life Experiences."
